Have had this watch since 1989. Unfortunately left it in a drawer for a long time and i believe the fluids of the battery or something else has damaged the liquid crystal panel. I have asked a great number of watch repair shops if they could help me and lately even had direct contact with Seiko in Japan. Unfortunately none has been able to get this part for me. Can anyone help? Watch is otherwise in really good condition and i would love to get it back to working condition. Thanks

Can you post a photo Amoh. The leaking battery doesnt usually attack the lcp panel but the reflector plate first. problem is it has to go through the pcb board to get to the plate(Not good)

Hi, The watch is currently with a watch repair shop in Japan, so I am unable to take a photo of it right now. The display is its usual grey/green background color, but a blob covering about 30% of the display is colored pretty much in the same color as the digits are, when its working. I am trying to verify whether it is really only the liquid crystal display I need by contacting the watch repairman, will get back to you. Thanks

Hi, I have just been to the watch repair shop in Japan and they took the watch apart and I have taken some photos. It seems that it is not the battery. To my untrained eye it looks like it is just the liquid display that is ruined and not the rest of the watch?
Seiko Kid, if you happen to have the sparepart I am missing I would greatly appreciate your help.
